Shut Down Challenge

Good morning. It’s Monday. The start of another week full of whatever’s that make your week happen. I want to issue a challenge today and I hope you will join me. I want to issue a 15 minute shut down. I challenge you to shut down, shut off, shut out, shut up. For 15 minutes slow down. Just rest. Your body will thank you. Shut off. Turn off your devices. I promise the messages will be there when you get back. The person will either leave a message or call you back. Shut out the sounds that distract you. Those high noises. The ones that constantly take you from one thing to the next. The noise of traffic. The noise of the bad news. The noise of ringing phones and complaing people. Shut up. Don’t talk. Just shut up. Not everything requires an answer. Shut up. Just smile and nod your head. Shut out. Run away for 15mins. Tell only one person where you are going. Let them know you will call them when you return from your run away. Most of all I want you to do this in honor of someone. Just for 15 mins honor them in one of the ways above. You can do it. I pledge to. If you will join me sign your name below. Don’t say you don’t have 15 mins. Yes you do. You can do it in 5 minute slots. Honor them by drinking your favorite drink while it’s quite. Not at your desk or running to another appointment . Dance your favorite dance. Think of all the good things they bought to your life. No sad tears. Tears of honor. I will start.
